Dynamics and Movement Dramaturgy
Roberto Torres

In our body there is a memory that is often our greatest resource, while others limit us in that we repeat ourselves and need to open new paths. The first "valid" impulse, as a known path that gives us a comfortable space of expression. Another second, as a door to a new discovery surely more uncomfortable and disconcerting.

The different qualities of the movement and its being in the body help to enrich and approach the plurality, thus enhancing the richness of the interpreter. The DANCER must surrender to the different movements and let them inhabit their body without "censorship" to avoid that this is a limit in the creation, opening to a new space of discovery.

Master-class Anat Grigorio (Israil).A Technique, repertoire and Improvisation workshop

A Technique, repertoire and Improvisation workshop

The workshop focuses on the emotional transformation from narrative action into abstract

movement. It combines physical work with acting and expression abilities.

The course of the workshop will be based on Physical work from my repertoire and my

approach to release based technique, which focuses mostly on skeletal and joints work in

order to prepare the body and mind for more intensive work.

The continuation of the workshop relies on the creative process that I work with in my

creations. We will explore the essence we need to be present in our body. Finding mental

states that are embodied in order to come to the point we can perform our self. How can we

dive into our self to find motivation and keep our performative gaze, Preciseness and

uniqueness? How we use our body as exposed raw material?  All of the exercises will

encourage the students to develop their own interpretation for movement which can give

them the ability to find their own personal language.

The workshop is for professional dancers, Dance students and actors with movement

experience

Master-class Jazmin Chiodi and Alexander Iseli. Partnering

JAZMIN CHIODI & ALEXANDRE ISELI

Jazmin and Alexandre are co-founders and directors of Iseli-Chiodi Dance Company, dedicated to contemporary dance creation and collaboration with other artists. The company is based in Ireland.

The artistic creation processes developed in the company are part of a wider picture that integrates Tipperary Dance Residency and Tipperary Dance Platform, both directed by Jazmin and Alexandre, to promote dance as a practise, an art form and a way of life.

Dance has led Jazmin and Alexandre to live in foreign countries, away from their own cultural foundations, to meet and work with a great diversity of people, in a great variety of environments all over the world. The creations and projects they lead all feed on the diversity of their experiences and encounters. They value a dance based on sensitive practise, open to all publics regardless of age, gender, culture or origin.

Since 2008, they are artists in Residence at Tipperary Dance Residency. Since 2010, they also founded and organised Tipperary Dance Platform.

Together with Alexandre Iseli she has been setting up and implementing a comprehensive dance development project at Tipperary Dance Residency since 2008, impulsing dance activities in the County: a programme that includes building resources for professional dance,  providing community classes and workshops, a dance in schools scheme, artistic creation with Iseli-Chiodi Dance Company, and the organization of Tipperary’s first international dance festival: Tipperary Dance Platform.
